Jan Britt is an interior decorator a member of the Interior Design Society, and the Window Coverings Association of America. Jan was chosen to be a speaker at the Window Covering seminar at the Georgia World Conference Center in 2008. Jan appeared numerous times on Peachtree Morning, a local show in Atlanta. She also appeared multiple times on “Our Place” on HGTV.
Jan has been the subject of feature articles in the Home and Garden section of the Atlanta-Journal Constitution, the Marietta Daily Journal, the Paulding County Neighbor, and the Atlanta Home Improvement Magazine. Jan currently writes decorating, staging and window treatment articles for WC West Cobb Magazine. Jan has been a guest speaker several times on Sandy Springs Radio Show.
Jan created two instructional No-Sewing window treatment DVD’s to teach others how to create beautiful window treatments for their home regardless of their sewing abilities.
Jan writes and teaches multiple courses on decorating and window treatments for Kennesaw State University Continuing Education department, and has been featured in the KSU catalog. The courses include Interior Decorating for the Homeowner, Illusion Decorating, No-Sew Window Treatments, and How to Decorate for the Holidays. Jan also teaches these courses for the Marietta City Schools Adult Education Program. Jan will even teach you or your child sewing lessons in your home or at her office.
In 2006 she became a member of the Accredited Staging Professional’s after many years of staging homes. Jan developed and wrote a course on staging, which was approved by the State of Georgia. She was chosen to teach this course to The Cobb Association of Realtors, The Atlanta Institute of Real Estate and many other agencies. Jan was asked to be a special seminar speaker for Stagedhomes.com demonstrating her No-Sewing window treatment techniques.
Jan makes appearances as a guest speaker at community and ladies groups. She donates her time and talent to Paulding County Youth Detention Center, Cobb County Schools and many other organizations.
